Acreage For Sale by WREDCO

Weyerhaeuser Real Estate Development Company (WREDCO) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Weyerhaeuser Company, which sells forested acreage in various parts of the United States. Much of the property that WREDCO sells is former Weyerhaeuser managed timberland being offered to the general public.

In today’s uncertain economic times, a growing number of individuals and companies are including timber in their portfolios as a tangible asset. In fact, The Wall Street Journal on January 26, 2009 featured the article “Money Still Grows on Trees,” which explained “…timberland often is likened to high grade bonds, meant to be held for 10 years or more…As time passes, timber not only grows in volume (size), but it also grows in value. Older, larger trees command a price premium.”

Many past customers, whether they bought five acres or thousands of acres, have appreciated being able to own forestland that includes Weyerhaeuser’s legacy of sustainable forest management. A range of properties are available in each market offering different recreational, timber growing, and development potential. WREDCO currently has land for sale in the states shaded dark green.
